A book for children but full of knowledge for adults too. Jen is special because she suffers from Sickle Cell Anaemia, a condition very common in Afro Caribbean communities allover the world.
The story talks about Jen, how she lives, who she plays with and basically raises awareness of this illness and how it can affect people's lives, but how they manage and still do the things we all do as well.
The illustrations are beautiful and it is a very positive way to educate us all on this very important issue. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope you will too
